If someone blocks me and i try to look at their profile i get a very generic message about why, but it doesnt really tell me much.
So as a suggestion for discussion, how about a block system, that is two-tiered
The first block window is triggered by the user and is an automatic 24 or 48 hour block, which times out on its own.
The second block is permanent. With a custom message of we dont do this or we dont do that etc etc.
So in the interest of trying to educate some members in their behavior, The custom message box for the user input box left empty shows the generic admin message, but another input by the user allows for Well you ignored this or We don't meet single, keeping it simple and to the point.
You might think this is overcomplicating this function, but the problem i have and im sure others do is that sometimes i block people then go into the chat room and find that the chat is disjointed and i cant follow some discussions because ive blocked people.
Constructive criticism is welcome. |

To be honest I don't get how the two are connected. Chat will always be disjointed if you have people blocked.
To the block mail thing, we don't often block people but if we do I wouldn't want it being lifted unless it was our choice. |

You make make it sound as though blocking people is always linked to behaviour when in the vast majority of cases it's simply a way of filtering people they aren't interested in.
If you find yourself blocked do you really need an explanation as to their preferences or advice on how to amend your behaviour? |
