I don't think you can private message if accessing the chatrooms via mobile chat.
I have an Android phone and access the chatrooms via the desktop version.
This allows me to pm and view more than one cam.
You can't directly pm from the chat room, what you can do is click on users name which should open up a new tab with users page, then send them an email/message fron there
