still no Spanish chat room

Maybe admin are thinking that a "Spanish" chat room would encourage use of the language (I think it is a FAB rule that everything on here has to be in English)
So why not just call it a "Spain" chat room? The same a the forum.
Just a thought.

"Also to be able to add a spanish address to search for friends nearby. Yes can use who online is local but that doesnt help if they offline"
I agree with this, as our club Mystique is located in Tenerife and there is no possibility to select a place abroad on our profile.
After a few years sending messages to admin. We Manished to put our club on the club's list. |

Perhaps if someone starts a forum post something along the lines of ``who living or regularly travelling to Spain would use a chatroom for Spain´´ hopefully then the owners would see the potential of introducing a Spanish chatroom |

I have moved your suggestion to the section where Admin will read it.
What I would say is there are only three people on this thread who have used chat before so it would look to Admin that it may be a wasted room, maybe pick an emptier room for now to get chat going to see if you get enough interest |

That seems a sensible suggestion to me - demonstrate a need, etc.
A Spain room strikes me as a promising suggestion. I’ve seen oads of suggestions for rooms though, ranging from the sensible to the ridiculous over eleven years.
I suspect they might be somewhat cautious given past experiences. Years ago, there was a very persistent campaign to have a room set-up. The thread was long-running, and was full of posts saying “we’d definitely use it, it’s massively needed. It’d be really busy”. I look at chat most days, and it’s always dead quiet in there.
I think the US and Canada have been there from the start, so they are a bit different. Could there be reasons they have to stay as they are? Dunno?
Keep plugging away subtly and hopefully it’ll happen. I’d say keep it positive and supportive of the site - as far as I know, there isn’t a Fab Admin team occupying the whole floor of a office block in Swindon. There’s probably a core of a few busy people who get loads to deal with.

I remember that, it was the verified and site supporters room, they have been mostly empty since the introduction of them
To the bit about a team of Admin, there is just the site owners who implement anything and do the techie work so yes it keeps the busy.
I am sure if people use the chat enough Admin would consider a new room |

It was actually a different room, more recent than them,but yeah, I seem to remember similar with that too.
Just to stress - a Spain room seems like a worthwhile idea to me  . |
