Being in multiple chatrooms

How come some people seem to be able to enter multiple chatrooms at the same time. As far as I can see I can only be in one at a time, but when i am room hopping there are loads of people who are in nearly all the rooms.

How can they do this?

It's a glitch, they are actually in and can only see one chatroom, but if they didn't shut the first chatroom down properly before going to the other one , their name remains in both.
