is there a plan to move the chatroom to HTML5?????? Flash ends in December this year, so it wont be supported anymore and web browsers like chrome have already started to disable it.
HTML5 now allows webcam support and there are various programs that can convert your flash code into HTML5. |

I'll bump this up as nothing seems forthcoming. This is going to be a serious issue. As far as I'm aware Chrome was the last mainstream browser to support flash, and even then you had to enable it each session.
And if you're continuing to encourage virtual meets only then might be worth changing the software to a new standard. |

As far as i am aware pretty much every browser still supports flash . Chrome, firefox certainly do. Internet explorer and edge have flash code embedded in them. An awful lot of apps and websites still use flash, most gambling and poker sites do. As pointed out support ends in 5 and a half months time. I assume fab is working on things in the background. I assume it will have to be tested by users as some point as these things tend to be a bit buggy when first rolled out. |

According to cursory research, Mozilla and Edge are phasing it out by the end of the year when Adobe stop supporting it. So that's the 3 mainstream browsers. I can't get my Firefox to work in chat at all now.
So I hope they are changing stuff, if they are going to be virtual only for the foreseeable. Saying that if you want to keep using chat you have to search out and download old, unsecure versions of browsers isn't really a fix. |

We tried putting our cam on in the chatrooms last night but weren't able to. Tried using microsoft edge, chrome, opera, firefox. Have reinstalled adobe flash but still can't get the cam to work. Gone on the padlock on the address but that hasn't worked. Our cam window says flash not working/activated. Reset network. Begining to get really annoyed now. Anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks in advance for any help |

"We really struggled to get our cam to work on Friday night so I hope this is resolved some time soon and consider other things so tablets can be used easier too. "
Did you manage to get on in the end? |

"We have been trying to sort it on and off for a year lol"
We haven't had a problem until last night. We put it down to edge changing at first but can't get on using opera, firefox or chrome either. |

We did eventually but had to try quite a few different search endings before we were successful. |

Would you mind saying which one you were successful with? |

The problem is that fab management promise to introduce HTLM 5 but never give a time span. At the moment Edge Chrome supports flash but only to the end of the year. Firefox allows the extension but will not operate in fab for technical security reasons.
Fab... Please give us a date and some hope. |

We can't get on with edge, chrome firefox or opera. We've tried again today to no avail and have now run out of ideas. We don't like going in the chatrooms without our cam on as we don't seem to get the same interactions so we probably won't be going in any longer. We are questioning whether it's worth keeping up our site support if we can't get this resolved. |

Under chrome click the padlock then allow flash. Then refresh the browser window. You need to do this every session. This definitely worked last week. Internet explorer just worked but used that for a couple of months. |
