Great Missenden

We're planning on doing John O'Groats to Lands End in May next year in our 1972 VW T2 Bay Window camper.

We would be interested in recommendations on out of the way places that are worth visiting.

Good quiet campsites, off the beaten track beaches.

If you can afford the time go Durness and down the west coast instead of John of Groats to Inverness. West coast has some great beaches and good campsites.

That's the plan. Drive up from Inverness to JO'G and then take the coast road west. We hear it is spectacular

It is stunning, the beach and view at Durness is great but site is not so good. close for smoo caves. Sites at clachtoll and Sands at Gairloch are our favourite. The VW will not like the Applecross Road either way on the Bealach Na Ba. Engine if you go up it or the drum brakes on the way down but either way an experience not to be missed. option to go to Skye or pick up Loch Ness towards Fort William and Ben Nevis. Enjoy
