"What's wild camping"
Normally it’s just camping outside of a normal campsite. So, for example, on Dartmoor or the Lakes etc.
Actual wild camping is only legal on Dartmoor not anywhere else. However if you follow a turn up late, leave early approach and you leave no trace then it’s more likely to be tolerated.
I wild camped on the Helford on Sunday night. It was awesome. |

I wild camped on the forestry commission land, where you are able to gain access to a designated parking area.
Most of the time, wild camping places are only suitable for small camper vans and motorhomes. as the ground is not suitable for tents.
I actually use a web site that give you locations. Then I go on google earth, to check them out if they are to my liking. |
