Fab Naturists; your views on the Accorns Naturist Retreat Please
Jump to: Newest in thread
Hello fellow Fab Naturists, I'm thinking about camping (in a tent) at the Accorns Naturist Retreat (North of Exeter).
Have any of you stayed there before? If so what is it like please.
Also, are any of you visiting there this April?
All comments will be greatly appreciated. ⛺😀 |

"We’ve been to Lakeside Lincoln way, really nice, our first place been a couple of times "
Is it true that Lakeside is not Fab-friendly at all?
It is truly naturist?
Or is there some hinting behaviour there?

We stayed there for a vanilla holiday with family and never again. The facilities are great (lovely site) but the owners and inner circle are absolutely insufferable. They really spoilt the stay. There's signs everywhere saying do not do this and that. Cameras everywhere watching you, and they do. God forbid you go a minute over your allotted time in the hot tub even though no one is next, they watch you on cctv like a hawk. And don't even think about starting another jigsaw if one if someone else has one on the go. The staff complained about our tankards (which is a tradition of ours) saying people bring thier own drinks. Even though the same guy seen us buy the beers in them just a couple of minutes before and we'd been buying lots of drinks all week. They kicked off because our daughter used a side entry into the bar that she thought was OK to use because staff and regulars had been using it all day. One of the guys from the bar followed us all the way back to our tent one night, I think with terible paranoia that we were going to go and have sex somewhere. They clearly had a problem with us for reasons unknown and talking to others we've not been the only ones. We were made to feel so unwelcome and uncomfortable.
But great facilities and a good ale. I would say go and just stay away from the staff. Also we heard the owner checks fab regular to keep the sex people away. And theyll throw you off if they find your fab profile. That's why prior to going down we went into hidden mode and did not access fab durring the stay. It's not worth the hassle getting kicked off. And the irony is we were on a vanilla holiday yet on the last morning packing up were talking to our neighbours (a couple of couples) and turns out they were swingers. So after all the owners efforts and false insinuations on innocent vanilla campers they still failed to keep the sex people away |

We've been to lakeside many times, not for over a year though. Its always been a normal Naturist campsite, not sex freindly just like any vanilla campsite. However there's always been plenty of swingers on site (I think we've always been a big proportion of the guests). And there's was always a vibe and a sense that swingers are totally OK and tolerated as long as they keep activy behind closed doors. We even got invited to swingers party off site before.
However like I said we've not been for a while. We spoke to a couple at a club only the other night who said the vibe has changed at Lakeside towards swingers. They were saying a single guy was kicked off just for being a swinger, not because he done anything wrong or inappropriate. So maybe that tolerance is no more. Would be interesting to know other people's recent experiences of Lakeside lately? |

Great review and very helpful comments - thank you.
I don't mix swinging with naturism but I do like to keep my Fab App open just in case there are swingers close by (off site); I'll take your advice and hide my profile.
Such a shame about there attitude towards guests, I'm a naturist because being naked is when I'm most relaxed, having that level of scrutiny will stop me from do that.
But, I've booked and I'll give it a go; after all, I don't mind doing a Jigsaw started by someone else, I don't drink and 14 minutes and 59 seconds in the Hot tube should be just about do-able.
Hopefully I'll find some "sex people" off site 😃

Don't get us wrong, lovely site. Just best to be aware of the owners and their ways (who of course you may get along fine maybe). Hope you have a lovely relaxing time. If like us you like a bit of cooler water swimming the pool is lovely. |
