Hey Gang!
Planning a big hike early May. I'm going to do the Welsh 3000s.
Taking it easy, not a race and i will probably wild camp 1 or 2 nights.
I'm coming from Jersey and I'm not bringing a vehicle. Plan is to get to the foot of Snowdon, do the 3000s and then it's likely I'll turn around and do it back again. Then bus/train back down to the harbour and home.
I'm fairly experienced. Done a lot of hiking. Last year completed the Jersey all island walk in the top 200. Took around 16.5 hours. And I have done a little camping but this will be a pretty big trip.
Looking for some advice on what kind of load I should carry on Crib Goch and any other dodgy sections.
I'll have a 1 man tent, basic kettle and gas bottle, 2 days food + some water. Then all the other gear. Phone, spare cloths etc.
Concerned that my backpack is going to be a nightmare at the more risky areas.
Anyone got any tips?
Have you carried a 2-3 day pack on the 3000s?
What opportunities are there to restock water and food?
Any hints or words or wisdom greatly appreciated!
