Teamwork has enabled our attendance success, but some people get there every year somehow!?!

Oh there are so many places - the Avalon Inn is the most pub-like looking bar, and then there is the Cider bus, which is all outdoors. Be prepared to do a heck of a lot of walking, it's like a Disney park queue line getting around the site, but on steroids lol

I'll be there from the 12th with Scarlett arriving for the party after the work is done. There's often some action at the big Glastonbury sign on the hill in the Park, people seem to love shagging up there!

I've been lucky enough to go countless times.

Take boots for sure plus a sun and a warm hat. It gets damp and cool at night in that valley even after a hot day.

There is an app called What3words. It can locate someone within a 3m square area.

An example: West Holts would be- duos.cakes.irony

In front of the main stage could be: solving.waffle.hides

If you get what3words and type in the words above, then you can see where locates to.

Oh we see. On the basis that coverage can be somewhat of a struggle once the festival is fully underway, we wonder how well that would work. Aiming to be somewhere by a certain time can also be a challenge due to whatever plans everyone has in terms of sights and performances. We’re thinking any meets would have to be before the Friday, as after that it’s full on! X

Absolutely, we always go with a good idea of what we'd like to see and do, although there is never enough time because there is so much. We recommend Stonebridge on the Thursday for a good d*unken (optional of course) 90s/noughties anthems singalong. We will be in there from Wednesday morning though.

"Where is Avalon fields is that a new area? Tried to DM you but unable for some reason. Avalon is not new, been there since I've been going. Along the railway track towards the south east corner. So at least since 1999, damn I feel old!

We had a good laugh on the Thursday and Sunday night at Avalon Inn last year. Always a good vibe. Got tickets in the resale thankfully.

Did you miss the final gigs on Sunday then? Thursday eve could be a good time to go/meet then. Wonder what you mean by night tho, as it is light until 10ipmish! Wonder what time the bar closes? x"

We saw Elton then caught the last bit of Neville Staples on Avalon although seem to remember going to a tent over near Williams Green which was Car Henge last year. Fairly sure it was open to 3 Sunday morning (Saturday night)

Best with overcast weather and drizzle in the morning isn’t it. 2015 was ideal.

We were there for that, and yes it was ideal. Everyone got to sample some mud, then it dried up x

Around the UK

I am hoping it will be dry above all. Sitting outside enjoying the festival and cold/ lukewarm cider would be very nice.

I think we are due a wet one, it hasn’t been muddy and rained heavily since 2016 so unfortunately I think it could be this year.

Luckily weather doesn’t work on probability though so I’ll keep my fingers crossed for a dry one at least.

I’ve survived hot, wet, cold and overcast ones so I’m sure we’ll all be fine

Luxury compared to our tents then. Is the caravan site much further out or equally close compared to the glamping sites? x

It all depends the caravans start by the glamming but go on a long way, 11,000 caravans, what day are you going

Lots of talk about TBC’s this year. Kasabian and Green Day mentioned. I think Killers could pop up as they are in the UK the week of Glasto.

Don’t be silly, they would be above all of the headliners already confirmed. Wishfully thinking though

Killers have done a secret set in 2017. I think they will do a big TBC again this year after the Foo Fighters last year. Kasabian would be good.

Unsure how many will see this as it is an older thread now but wanted to wish you all well and the best time on the farm and fields. We are SUPER jealous, we didn’t get tickets this year, we got through, we even added in all our bank details and then it span for ages and by the time it errored and we got back to the holding page, they’d gone. Proper gutted, happened to a lot of people apparently. We are having a home glasto / garden weekend but our youngest son will be home or us so can’t even turn it into a social, although if he asks to stay out anywhere he won’t have to ask twice ??????

We saw Coldplay last year in Manchester, best outdoor concert ever and the whole line up looks amazing to be fair. Best shania Twain is a right show for the legends.

We have Leeds tickets though, couldn’t miss up seeing Blink.

Have fun all and be safe!
