Haha" You can get a tent to sleep in at millets, go outdoors or even amazon. We would recommend you look at a 4 person tent, just to be able to breathe. There will be lots of bigger tents there like ours where you can socialise. | |||

If you get a bigger tent, you might prefer to take an air bed and duvet instead. The most important thing if you have never been camping at all, is once you get your tent, put it up in the garden or a local park before you go away. That way you both know how it goes up... and packing away. You might want camping chairs, a way of boiling water for brews and pot noodles as snacks. Aldi has a bunch of camping stuff at the moment which isn't bad priced. Most supermarkets have camping gear too. As it's July in England, the packs for festivals should be enough. If you were serious camping, or the event was in Scotland, I'd have suggested something more substantial. Happy to answer any more questions on camping | |||

Happy to answer any more questions on camping " Id say you'd need a "family" sized tent as a minimum, plus an inflatable bed. You can get pumps, both manual and battery fed, to blow the bed up, and dont skimp on a cheap one, get the best you can afford, less likely to go down during the night. Agree with chairs, get 3 or 4, they dont have to be expensive but they can break easily. For meals, you have to decide if camping is something you will do regularly, or not. If its going to be regular, then maybe a small two ring camp cooker is an option, remember you'll need a table too. If you dont think you'll do much camping in future, or cooking on your jollies, and relying on the catering onsite, then maybe just a small camp stove to heat water for brews and snacks is the way you could go. Definately agree with the prior practice routine, try out everything BEFORE you go, make sure it all works and you know how to use it, put the tent up, maybe even sleep in it for a night so you can iron out any bugs. One thing that can be a life-saver is some form of "undertent" flooring, we use the foam "jigsaw" mats that clip together to help protect the bed from anything that might puncture it. One last thing is some form of trolley to lug it all around, and a cooler for your drinks and milk. | |||

"We glamped last year, this year we have rebuilt an old caravan "Miss Bee Hayvan" anyone passing stop and say hi, we will have cocktail punch on tap and fire Pitt for late night socialising. Xx" Hats off for your project and the cool name
Mr tried to rebuild an old caravan a few years back and discovered it was in such bad condition, the easiest option was to buy another, less run down, van to restore. Although it was great, the storage costs meant it was easier to sell it. Our camper is not costing any storage. Unfortunately because it needs so much welding, will not be ready.
We now have a massive tent and with all our gadgets and accessories, it will be equivalent of the glamping.
