We hope to be on the beach in June/July and wondered if anyone has any discreet ways of recognising others from here. Think it will be busy (last year busiest we've ever seen it) would be nice to bag a space around like minded people. Maybe a Fab wrapper on top of the windbreak pole !? |

"Can’t wait for the warmer weather. I’d agree a fab wrapper is the ideal way to be spotted by fellow fabbers! "
We tried to find one last year , but end up with a fish on the end of a extendable flag pole , worked well , could see it from the sea and helped friends to find us

"Where's the nearest or best place to camp, I'd like a weekend away there. "
Think there is a place called the half way inn or Langton matravers , or you could try staying on shore road but that one can be hit and miss depending on time of year

We are very much looking forward to our Moho adventures this year. Feel free to connect to us. BTW there are 2 Fab Campers groups on Facebook. A lady on one was selling a Fab Flags to display on your van. Personally we prefer the more subtle approach of wrapper lol.

We use “who’s near by”
Always works a treat.
Although as always be discreet, have a chat and don’t as many single guys do, place their towel next to yours and start playing with your partner.

We are taking time out from work and spending the summer (2-3 months) in Dorset. When the weather is good it will be Studland beach most days. We have booked some stays on Caravan/motorhome sites but was wondering if we can wild camp in our motorhome on the road to Studland beach when there isn’t availability elsewhere…?

No. You can’t stay over night on Ferry Road. I think the restrictions are from midnight to 6am.
I’m not sure if there’s street parking in Studland village, but there certainly is in Swanage.
Your best bet if you don’t get answers on here, is to ask other motorhome owners when you get here. There’s plenty of them.
Have a wonderful couple of months. |

Hiya, someone put me on to this app: park4night gives you overnight stop locations in the area you put in. Perfect for campervan owners |

There is a Bus stop which marks the part to the beach. Long walk but brings to the center of the beach
