Anyone got some advice on what models would be best suited to us and the kids... also any helpfull tips and tricks i might need in the future?

I know this is a swingers site... but im not oj any caravan forums!

I was in the same situation as you op, 25 plus years ago.

And with the current situation, you will have to take that into consideration also.

1. Is the car you using at the moment suitable for towing.

2. Have you got somewhere to store the caravan of a certain size.

3. Essential and adequate sleeping space for yourselves and your children. As you may find that your siblings may not like sleeping with each other, in such a confined space. If your children are bitching about one and another, this can, as you know, make you camping trip un enjoyable. An inner tent, or pup tent within the awning could solve this problem. Plus ! you will need to have your adult moments when they have settled for the night.

Toilet and shower is a must. As a lot of sites may not have toilet/shower blocks open due to the pandemic, as a lot of campers found out last year..

4. t.v. familly games, a pack of cards a must also for those wet days.

Best thing that you can do is. Go along to a large caravan centre, and look around 5 to 6 birth vans. sit down inside and get a feel for it. and think of what layout you like. And keep in mind. what is the sleeping arrangements are gonna be like for your children. If they are gonna be happy. Then you will be happy. Check out you tube. Happy holidays.
