The weather man promised beautiful sunny weather all weekend, so we booked a long weekend on a house boat. Currently sat here watching the rain pour down

It's lovely up there. We're not near the coast but go up there a lot. Bamburgh and Beadnell are beautiful x

We've had a wonderful day at Beadnell beach, watching the sailing boats and surfers then lunch in the craster arms. What else is near for tomorrow?

(We did seahouses yesterday. We only live 40 minutes away so we should know really x

Bamburgh is lovely if you want another beach day. If you want to go further inland then Warkworth is nice as it is a nice little village with a good river walk. Anywhere up there you'll find lovely pubs with good food. We have stayed at the caravan site just over the dunes at Beadnell. It's great getting up on the morning and just walking straight onto the beach x
