any decent wild camping spots not too far from salford / manchester don't drive so can't venture too far

its illegal to wild camp in the uk, excluding some spots in scotland, where i think you need to get permission

See Scottish Outdoor Access Code, section on wild camping for the definition of what wild camping is and isn't. you have a right to wildcamp in Scotland so long as you follow a few simple guidelines which are there for everyone's benefit!

This site has loads of places that are pretty much like wild camping. Some are only for one pitch or you can group book so your free to do as you like.

Off on our first camp this weekend on our motorbikes.
