Is there any interest in a Irish Campers Group chat on KiK.... You can have upto 100 users, know we will be spread all over... but nice to chat currently and hopefully have arranged meet ups once we can play out! xx |

Sorry not looked back and now I've seen replies... set up a biker chat group, started it as public but quickly realised that isn't the way! Can start a private group if ppl want, we can only chat at the moment... but in time obviously we can sort meets...
Send your kik name and put camper chat group on your message somewhere so we know what it's about... have a biker one set up too if that interests anyone.... all the best! xx |

Has anyone any tips for places to wild camp in Ireland? Either with a tent or a small van?
I'm especially interested in the top half of the country - purely for logistics.

Not really tbh but if your talking tent... then I'd say anywhere that looks wild or hidden... just a case of using head and avoid fires bbq if it's a farmers field... personally I'd avoid a farmers field, got to be lots of other places... with van I just use google maps and press screen till you get a bubble, then go street view... you can see exactly then... just be aware that most recognised car parks have height restrictions even if it's not showing on street view as street view is generally a couple of years old at least.... xx |

Check the out a channel on YouTube called ‘Charlie & me’ .. very good advice and reviews on all the camping sites this guy visits on his travels throughout Ireland. He visits some official sites and a few Aires also. Think he has a podcast also. |
