Any suggestions for improving upper body strength to deal with the aches and pains of an unfit 51 year old on a naked bike and 350 trail bike

Wide lat cable pull downs, targets the muscles you use holding onto a naked. And then your usual bench, decline bench etc.

I need to start back into the gym myself and work on the inner thighs for gripping the tank.
