The purists amongst you may say that this post is inappropriate for a ‘Bikers Forum’

I was wondering if there are any scooter riders out there who may be looking to mix a rally or ride out with a bit of kinky fun?

If so, I’d love to hear from you.

If the username doesn't give it away I'm a scooter rider but I've not really joined the rally/ride out scene. I am, however, up for new interesting experiences.

We are very much getting back into the scene but wouldn't really want to mix rallying with swinging.

Our next rally is Llandudno, never been before so we're very much looking forward to it.

Scooter fun... that's an oxymoron surely

All welcome as far as I'm concerned, been to plenty of rallies in the past where the scooter guys turn up. The mods and rockers thing thankfully died off and we are all taking the same risks out on the roads.

Looks like a few on here don't understand that riding a lambretta (or vespa) is just as much of a thrill as any other bike. We are not second class two wheelers ???? we don't all Potter along at 45 with lights & mirrors & we are not all mods although in life's rich tapestry each to their own.

This year been to Poland Scotland, Wales (just got back from Llandudno) & others all on my 'shopping bike' & God does my arse know it ????

Been riding lambrettas since '79 & still get that buzz, plus that smell of two stroke, WOW .

Long live the two wheel scene ????

Llandudno was great fun, we went up on the Fri and it rained from start to finish.. music was great both nights, the ride back in nice weather was stunning down through Snowdonia and the Brecon beacons.. wouldn't swap my vespa

I like to think it's friendly banter I've actually never ridden one and would always treat a fellow two wheeled rider with respect

I suppose if you get bored riding it, you could use your scoot as a sex toy...lol

Sorry, I couldn't help myself there!

I used to be into the scootering scene back in the 80s.

It all started with a fascination with the Mod scene. (Still the coolest period in British pop culture).

Started going to rallies with my mates and had an ace time too.

So for me there's no diffentiation, we all ride two wheels, irrelevent of their size.

Only ever ridden a couple of Vespas and one lambretta. Have used a few miscellaneous scooters while working deliveroo. I prefer larger bikes but each to their own. Huge props to the guys that ride the high tune scooters, tbh I think it would terrify me anywhere close to 100mph

P200 here.

37 years and counting a scooterist.

Latest p200 22 years old Been up and down and across the country.

The scene at the moment is as big if not bigger than back in the early 80s when it boomed.

Lots and lots of Wanted one years ago but couldn’t.

Now I’ve paid the mortgage and kids have grown up.

I’ve been out bought a scooter. Bought a parka. Stuck badges every where and bathroom accessories all over the scoot. Lol.

Ours is a 2005 with no rust.. maybe we was lucky but people do say the early 250's are the better option.

Lambretta as always got a gp200 with a ts225 in it that I use for long runs & a cut down gp with a reedspeed ts230.

As per usual with a lambretta spend a lot of time on the side of the road but that's part of the fun of riding lambrettas.

Looking at a full casa 265 tourer for next year.

My mum had just got home after an unplanned stay in hospital.

Looked at flights, trains, hire cars.

Bank holiday weekend.

So I just jumped on the little machine instead.

Well, what a super day out it was - the temperature all the way there and back was gorgeous.

10 hours going north it took me.

One of these things you do once and then you're wise enough not to do again lololol

I ride a Moto Guzzi 1100 Sport bit, just had a holiday in Rome and hired a Vespa (twist-and-go) 125 for a day; it was brilliant, I rode like an Italian around all the famous Roman sites and even got stopped by the police (a minor mis-understanding).

I've definately for an appreciation for scooters now and wouldn't rule out owning one.

That's what the scene was like in those days, we where the devil incarnate.

It's calmed down a bit nowadays & some councils actively encourage us to have rallies in their towns. Look at Bridlington this year they held their own council backed scooter festival the same weekend as the official southport rally.
