Just back from a 2 day 485 mile jaunt to Applecross and Gairloch. The weather yesterday was AMAZING (today not so much - got soaked!). Having toured Europe and the Alps several times I love doing that but in all honesty the roads and scenery were mindblowing up there - thoroughly recommend it if you haven't been. |

OK I'm not really comparing them as like for like but the combination of stunning roads and only a few hours from home make the highlands a winner for me! All we need is better weather - Friday was amazing - Saturday heading back was SHITE |

Heading up there in August possibly.
Just back from Norfolk, shot down to Great Yarmouth for a couple of days then ran up to Whitley Bay before heading up A1 and back home
4 days and close to 1000 miles |
