After the Morocco trip I'll be trading the FJR as my shoulder is knackered and the weight is getting a bit much.
I've narrowed it down to two bikes.
Ducati 1200/1260 Multistrada ST or Enduro or a KTM 1290 SA.
What would be your purchases if you where in the market for a new bike?

I'm not so sure, I've an ST3S/ABS that has done sterling service for years and apart from regular servicing it stands me at nothing and has never let me down.
The KTM is very plasticy but the motor's a hoot.
The new 1260 Multi is much more relaxed than multis of old and less prone to get wobbly.
Decisions, decisions.... |

Currently have a zx10r but my next bike I want something that packs the punch of a superbike along with the handling but I will be comfy on long trips with luggage so the Z1000sx I think is the 1 for me |

"Not planning on changing mine had it 12 years and happy to keep it another 12. I just love FJ1200s they are great usable classic. "
I have a 3XW in my garage, 90.000 miles young and a minter.
It's the one bike I'll never get rid of! |

My father has the same problem as well as problems with he’s wrists, I needed a new bike for doing long journeys. So not so long ago bought a 2017 Honda NC750s DCT. Plenty of storage(dummy tank) and a option for top box/panniers. Very good on mpg and pulls away well. Very light for the size. Helps with shoulder and wrist problems making it a breeze for him to ride when I use my other bikes. Nothing but compliments about it.
Was going to get the X version but it’s too high for either of us to touch the floor with a flat foot |

My first bike is a fazer and it be a cpl years and finances sorting before I’ll be looking for my next bike but loved the verso it’s a great seating position and lightweight and nice a nippy, so that may very well be my second bike unless I go for a bigger engine but yet to find one that’s fit for purpose the fazer great but I’ve got to let it drop if I get off balance and can’t straigten up lol so have to try avoid junctions on slopes to the left or I’m goosed lol and can’t pick it back up if I do because of my health issues so need a really lightweight bike |

"I’m picking a gsxs 1000 up today
Great choice!
That’s what I ownpx my gsxr haven’t stop smiling yet "
You won’t regret it pal, more useable than a gsxr
I need to reign it in a bit though otherwise I won’t have a license much longer |

Yer fantastic bike mine is 30 years old still looks good for it's age with 57,000 miles on it, pulls like a train even though after 30 years I guess some of the horses have escaped the field.

"Keep thinking about buying a v max, or a cruiser, but will still keep my tuned bandit 12 as a hooligan toy... "
Best bike ever the Bandit. Everyone that I know who has sold one ended up buying another.
I have turbo'd mine 190bhp |
