Guess it depends what you call the scene! I have an adventure bike and would love to use it for what it was designed for but need a bit more body armour first. But love riding it even on normal roads. Does this mean I am into it? |

GSA here.. I've had an adventure on it! 3000 miles round trip to naples last year over the alps and back and Germany/Austria booked this year both with the wife. The capability and riding position just outweigh a sports tourer for me. As for off road, I find myself choosing farm lanes and tracks I wouldn't do on sportsbike |

My adventure bike is an old Honda Transalp 600,had lots of fun with it and it just keeps going.
My favourite is my Beta X Trainer and most Sundays through the winter I'll be riding around Salisbury Plain ?? |

Anakee wilds are awesome and get relatively good miles

I have just bought a Harley Davidson MT 350. Done my CBT and getting my practice on my little Honda CG125 before my test. My dream bike is a BMW 1200 GS but being realistic it’s probably too big. So many bikes to choose for touring it’s a tough decision I reckon. |

"ATs are the way forward....I heave heard ladies prefer AT riders as we dont follw the BMW herd....Discuss "
Pffft, I wish! Suppose it depends if it is one of those 1000cc computer controlled pieces of pretend Adventure Sports nastiness, or a REAL XRV750 Africa Twin!
I'm finding the ladies playing hard to get, but there's no way I'm going to The Dark Side and getting a BMW.

Had an S10 750 back in the day and loved it, always wanted a Cagiva Elefant 900 though.
Looking at the Multistrada Enduro and 1200GS as a replacement for the FJR. |

BMW f900xr.
Simply one of the best bikes in years.
Better than the GS I had. Both had the factory lowered suspension and all the add-ons.
The f900xr is just a sensible bike to buy.does everything and has enough power.

Bought a 800gs last year. Intended to tour Europe this year and maybe further later. So much for that plan.
Bought into the adventure hype without really thinking about it. Now thinking that I'll sell it and get a good used Honda CB. |

I've had lots but was really into the PD replicas of the 80s and 90s.
So I've owned 750 S10, Tengais and lots of ATs too.
I don't get the guys who's bikes look like they're set up to go around the world but they only go to the local cafe.
I have a 1250GS (not an adventure) and it's set up as road biased as possible.
It makes an excellent fast tourer.
Looking around for either a 900 Elefant or another 750 S10 to restore. |

Need a bit of advice.
My 2010 1200gs adventure has blown a bulb in one of the spots. The bulb is a H7 Hid, that is built into the holder along with the connecter wires.
Having a big problem trying to find one.
Anyone had to replace one? |

"Going to try my Tiger 900 on Salisbury Plain soon.
Enjoy. It’s a bit slippy on the chalky bits and the puddles are getting deeper.
Thanks. May need to move from the item tyres then?"
Tyres are a can of worms on any adv thread lol. |

I swapped my Sprint 1050 for a tiger1200. Not that I didn’t love the St ( it’s still the best bike I’ve ever ridden as an all rounder) but my wrists needed to be more upright now with carpal tunnel. The tiger is bloody amazing and I think more room on the heated rear seat to bend Lily over! |

"Oh yes. Sold KTM 1290sar, just deciding between new Husqvarna 901 Norden or KTM 890 Adventure R. Plan is to get wife on her own bike this summer"
You’d ‘ve sold it quicker and for more if you’d used those pics in the ad

Used to ride off-road or on shitty roads in Asia. Did a bit of green landing here. I have a now nearly classic XR400. But I wouldn't say it's an adventure bike in the Long Way Around/ Dakar sense. |
