This morning I read through the various race reports on the weekends WSB and Moto Gp events and sat down to watch the TV morning news including "sports report"
Full on footbore reports down to hairstyles and colours of jockstraps, F1 and Lewis Hamiltons wage packet, various golf, cricket and the paint drying championships!
Zip, nada, naff all, zero, niet, rien about anything on two wheels.
Does it pi88 anyone else off that motorcycle racing is only ever mentioned when some rider gets killed on the IOM??
Cal Crutchlow - 1st GP win since Barry Sheene - nowt
Danny Kent winning Moto 3 world championship - nowt
Jonathan Rea winning 4th WSB title - nowt.
Average BSB gate around 30,000 people, the same as a lot of football matches - any news coverage - bugger all!!!
Spain and Italy, front page news in the papers and results in with the main news items!
Is it any wonder that British riders struggle to get the support they need when the media completely shuns them...
Growl, snarl, mutter, mutter...
