Mod 1 is very much the car park exercises similar to what you do on cbt but a bit more intense. I’m sure you’ll do fine with it when the time comes. Good luck. Being on a bike is the best thing ever |

My tip for your theory is buy one of the practice hazard perception tests. If you’re already a driver you will notice hazards sooner and likely click too soon resulting in lost points
Best of luck I passed in Oct and love my bike |

Agreed, Hazard Perception test is the one you really need to prepare for.
I found Hazard Perception really frustrating when I took mine for my DAS, been driving for years and also taken advanced driving courses as a result of working for previous employers. As a result I was struggling when taking practice tests as I was over reading the situations.

That’s a good tip but in 2004 when I was doing my bus test, not long after hazard perception was introduced, I did lots of practice tests. I was getting some of the highest scores they’d ever seen on the practice test (95% +) but failed the actual test as I was spotting them too soon. The scoring system in practice test was slightly different to the real thing. Important to remember is you are trying to spot developing hazards that make the “camera car” take action to avoid ie a zebra crossing and someone walking up the footpath towards it. I was clicking as soon as I saw it. The thing is the scoring only starts 5 secs before the camera car stops because of the hazard. Obviously the sooner you spot it in that 5 seconds the better. I found on my second attempt that I clicked when I saw it and again a few seconds later - which worked for me when did bike one (silly really as needed a higher pass score for bus and the test is the same, but theory test questions are different), but be aware if the system thinks you’re trying to cheat it by clicking in a pattern, you’ll score 0 for that clip. It’s a pain in the arse and in many ways an unfair test in my opinion |

Exactly this... really frustrating. Still I passed the theory and nailed mod 1 and 2 and sure OP will too. |
