Had my first track day this year on my triumph daytona and loved it. Looking to get a track bike so I don't feck my Daytona up. Was thinking another triumph but mate is going for a 1000cc bike and I can't have him taking me on the straights all the time. He's looking at fireblade. What do you lot recommend? |

"I've done a couple of track days on my 955i speedie. And yeah the newer big bike do eat me up on the straights. But not by much.."
It's the having to fight all the way through the corners to then be back at the same spot place at the end of a big straight lol so frustrating |

Anybody can open the throttle on the straight and go fast on a straight line. If you want to learn how to ride a bike and make the most of it, get something like a SV650, far more fun, cheaper, easier on tyres and there is something about getting the most from a bike rather than just hanging on to loads of BHP. If your mate beats you he can't say anything, but if you beat him, full bragging rights |
