Had my first track day this year on my triumph daytona and loved it. Looking to get a track bike so I don't feck my Daytona up. Was thinking another triumph but mate is going for a 1000cc bike and I can't have him taking me on the straights all the time. He's looking at fireblade. What do you lot recommend?

It's the having to fight all the way through the corners to then be back at the same spot place at the end of a big straight lol so frustrating

I have raced 1200 Daytona 955i triple and 1050 triple triumph and all lack top end but they pull better and the triple is a missile off the start and they are all tuneable

All depends on the tracks your be riding?

Brands is my local track and I’ve taken a CB500 out in advance group and had plenty of fun embarrassing 1000’s

I've not got enough experience or confidence to do a track day, only had my bike since January so kinda still getting used to it as it was a bit of a project when I got it

Anybody can open the throttle on the straight and go fast on a straight line. If you want to learn how to ride a bike and make the most of it, get something like a SV650, far more fun, cheaper, easier on tyres and there is something about getting the most from a bike rather than just hanging on to loads of BHP. If your mate beats you he can't say anything, but if you beat him, full bragging rights

Thanks for everyone's input. Think I will go for another 675 Daytona unless I get a bargain elsewhere xx
