Older fireblade for taller rider

Hi folks, a quick question for any of the taller riders out there

After a 30 year gap I'm back on a bike to get my full license, it a 2010 yamaha xj6n and I can't fault it but always loved the older fireblade especially the model with drilled nose fairing

My concern is that I'm 6ft2 with a 34in leg and while I don't intend to travel for hours at a time I worry if I'll be uncomfortable on it,

Any experience or opinions appreciated

I had an old blade, and I'm 6ft1 and it was a fun bike, so just go for it. You can fit rearsets and or handlebar risers if needed.

Reading

one thing to bear in mind is that those early fireplaces had 16 inch front wheels and unusually pointy front tyres. Those are very hard to get at all these days and impossible in modern sticky rubber. Currently available 16 inch profiles tend to make these bikes stand up if braking while banked over.

Pretty as the very early ones are I would get a 17" model as it's a better bike for probably less money.

happy hunting ...as they say on here

Thanks for all the replies and I'll definitely look into the 16 inch wheel issues, I did read about it somewhere and heard it really limits choice of tyre brand

Vfr 750 front wheel will fit straight on an older blade just swap the discs from the 16 inch wheel on to the vfr front to clear the calipers! Ton up! Pin it to win it!!
