Doesn't answer your question but no, I always use www.pittedforks.co.uk and had good service and quality

If you can get new try that route as recovery via hard chroming is not always the cheapest.

I just bought some new ones for my work commute bike a 650 bandit . thought I'd chance some cheap Chinese ones . arrived in 4 days perfect fit and finish and cheaper than a UK rechrome . that said I have used pittedforks before and service was great

You can generally get it done cheaper at someone who refurbishes hydraulic rams

They are expensive, and the quality is mixed. My XJ900 were ok, 60,000 miles on rechromed forks from Brookes, but the wife's XJ600 have had a big chunk of chrome break off after only a year,

The cost of new aftermarket stantions is not a million miles from rechroming in truth

generally cheaper to replace than re-chrome unless it's a part you can't get no more
