"Before you can ride a bike on the road you need to go on a CBT course. Set up for new riders who haven't rode a bike before so book yourself onto a course "
What I'm after is a try without the course - apparently some schools do taster sessions |

Do the CBT it will be the best taster session you will get then its the 1st part on the way to a full licence if you do decide to carry on. Maybe wait till the weather warms/sunshine abit more its more enjoyable especially starting out. |

You were asking for tips and guides. Sounds like you already know what you want to do. Like us and the other poster say CBT is the way forward, it's not a test but a short course that you need if you want to take your riding onto a public road. Without CBT even a taster session can't take place on a public road. CBT is first half in such a place as a private car park style place then the other half, as long as you pass the conditions of the first half, out onto a public road |
