I have both. The leathers make you feel invincible so wear them when the ride is going to be errrrr spirited shall we say lol. Textiles are much more versatile when touring or if the weather is going to take a bit of a turn. Stay away from the cheap Amazon/Chinese stuff though. |

Just remember leather isn't watetproof or particularly warm.
I only wear my leathers in summer, rest of year its textiles with built in armour  |
