Well I'm different again as I ride an electric motorbike! I have a Zero S and I love it. I've had other bikes in the past, Triumph Bonneville T100, BMW F650GS, Triumph Tiger 800 and the last one was a BMW F650GS (800 twin). I decided to test ride an electric bike as I'm a gadget fan and I like shiny new things. Within 30 seconds of riding one I was hooked. The acceleration is unreal and is quite addictive. And the fact that I can charge it in my garage for pennies is pretty cool as well. I still have a diesel car though so still get to visit filling stations.

I realise that they are not for everyone, but I have seen attitudes change in the 3 years I've been riding it. I used to get a lot of negative comments from other bikers when stopped at burger vans or bike meets etc, but now there seems to be a bit more interest. I get a lot more questions and people genuinely seem interested. I'm not a tree hugger or anything like that and I don't go around preaching to people. All I'd say is to have an open mind and throw your leg over one and have a go (kinda like some meets on this site
