All Road Racing in Northern and Southern Ireland has been cancelled for this year due to escalating insurance costs

How very sad, Road Racing is more popular than football over there, Iconic events like the Northwest 200 and Ulster GP won't be happening. 1000's and fans and lot's racers will be very disappointed.

£400,000 Insurance premium???

Just saw this. One of my favourite trips away is the NW200. Even just for the local economy, it's devastating.

I can’t see there ever being a racing season here again.

The Ulster Centre of MCUI has been rotten to the core for years and they had mismanaged the insurances for soo long.

10th February organisers made this statement.

North West 200 organisers have said that the event could go ahead in May despite the Motorcycle Union of Ireland Ulster Centre indicating all their events for 2023 had been cancelled.

Lets see how many deaths they have this year, that could be a deciding factor.
