I can't decide whether to go to the bike show at exel or to use the money saved on admission for fuel and go out for a day's riding. Maybe to matlock or around the east coast.

We're down in London that weekend, the girls are taking in an afternoon show so I'm off to the excel and might have to treat myself to some new gear

Late to the party, but I'm keen to see what anyone else thought of the event?

Personally I thought it was a waste of £20 that could have filled a tank and given more enjoyment.

I'll try the NEC show again in November but can't see myself coming back to the local show any time soon..

We didn’t go simply because we were so disappointed with NEC..& felt the same as you ,a waste of money .

The kids amount of crap being sold was ridiculous!.

Apparently trading standards were on top of the MCN show at the weekend though !

I went on Sunday... was disappointed

Was looking for new jacket boots and a lid ... there were not many quality vendors .. a lot of fake jackets (leisure not suitable for riding protection ) there were the big manufacturers there but not much else ... roll on NEC

I saw the post about trading standard closing or removing stock from stalls, and good on them!

I spoke with the guys on the roadskin stand who also used to import the Dane range of clothing -(similar quality to Rukka but not quite as expensive) - they said that the cost of importing anything has gone up so much, they have stopped now as adding a margin makes it too expensive for the UK buyer.

I don't forsee there being many deals to be had at shows in the forseable future..

Totally agree this was a waste of money, certainly seemed there were fewer stalls compared to the last time I went and the quality of stuff on offer left a lot to be desired. I had hoped to get a new jacket and trousers but hadn't heard of most of the gear on offer. Looks like I'll be heading up to Westgate road to get kitted out.
