"Tons of fair weather riders out there "
I'll admit it, I'm a fair weather rider, i only ride in the summer, there's nothing fun about riding your bike in the cold n rain n that's what a bike to me is, pure enjoyment. |

Have you considered living somewhere else?"
Well said Rodger
Blackwood here and ride everyday, for me the fun of a bike is about the freedom from the rest of the traffic regardless of the weather.
Love the old stereotypes about us valleys too, so imaginative |

Someone mention traffic, what’s that then?
In the middle here but venture south occasionally. Do tend to head North or East though around Elan, Rhayader, Snowdonia (out of season) more.
We are about ten minutes from the start of the devils staircase which when we’d only just moved here & didn’t know any better my satnav directed me on to at 1am, pouring with rain in a long wheelbase van!
That was “Interesting”

Just come back from a nice ride.
From Cardiff to Chepstow into England, through the forest of Dean via coleford to Monmouth then through Abergavenny n back home.
All on my little 350.
It's not the destination, it's the journey that counts.

Got a 350 last year summer, last time I had a bike was over 30 years ago n have done a few thousand miles on it n really got back into it.
A few weeks ago took the wife out on the back n she loved it, but bike was a bit sluggish, so used it as the perfect excuse to upgrade to a 650, picked it up last week n loving it n so is she we now feel 30 year younger zipping around on it.
Pity summer is nearly over. |
