thinking of getting a Royal Enfield 305 Meteor

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
I'm thinking of getting a new Royal Enfield meteor 350, was wondering if anyone has had anything good or bad to say about them??
I'm now in my mid 50's & am thinking of getting back to a motorbike & haven't ridden in about 30 years due to the amount of step on my front pathway, but one of my kids has got there own house & said If i want i can keep it there.
I'm not looking for a bike to race around the streets on at 100mph, Just something for the weekend, But don't want anything that will struggle when overtaking.
As i say if anyone could give me some advice good or bad I would appreciate it.

If this is your first bike for a while then its ideal for what you need it for.
I (B) slagged the Royal Enfield brand for a while until I had a go on one.
No they are not the fastest but you don't have to look like a power ranger on one.
From a maintenance standpoint, these are fantastic and follow the Kiss principle beautifully.
I you have a dealer close to go check them out.  |

Been really impressed with the Royal Enfield, they are getting more and more popular, I've just got a BSA 650 up and running after buying it in bits, it's great fun at lower speeds these bikes have real soul and grunt, a totally different way of riding |

I had a 350 Enfield for a few years, 55mph was comfortable, more than that it felt like it was being thrashed. You would be better looking at a larger capacity bike |

I've a classic 500 which I love, simple, effective and turns heads. The new interceptor is a great bike. Some will say otherwise but then there's always someone saying otherwise about any bike. I've had a BMW and sold it as I didn't enjoy it much, I've a couple Honda's of which one I'll never sell. They all have their faults, there is no best bike, it what suits you, your riding style, your needs and your budget, everyone is different.
My advise go and ride a few different ones, see how you feel on them, listen to your gut and find which one puts a smile on your face. |
