They are great bikes. The Gentleman's express. All day comfortable. Easy to ride in town, a blast on the backside, or a week's touring in the Dolomites
Not all have Traction control,or the GT spec with full luggage and touring related options.
Radiators can be fragile, so fit a guard, if it doesn't have one. Hugger and fender extendas are good options. Major service at 16kmiles is expensive, as it'll be in the shop for most of the day. The smaller service was surprisingly cheap. Front calipers can bind if the owner doesn't take reasonable care. Equally, the rear shock adjuster can seize, bit an overnight soak in WD40 does the trick.
Tank range is about 170miles before I start to get twitchy.
It's not a pure sports bike, but suspension and brakes are very much up to the task. Turbine like power delivery is fantastic and there on tap when you want it.
Side panniers are a tad neat compared to other touring bikes, but the larger Honda top box is a great size.

"2015 onwards is the better one to have.
Thanks. Why is that ? "
They had a slightly bigger tank to improve the range.
I don't see an issue with refuelling every one hundred miles tbh.
I'm usually ready to get off by then.
Go for an earlier one, save some cash. |
