"Any advice on a first bike? X"
Don’t spend too much money better picking f up a second hand 600cc thereabouts bound to drop it a few times usually in busy car parks and then move onto something more expensive and or bigger
Unless you’re stinking filthy rich and can afford bumps scrapes etc
I bought two second hand neither owe me money before I bought brand new and the new one has had more bumps and knocks lol |

Always loved the looks of the Ducatti Diavel. More recently looking at the Indian ftr 1200. Unfortunately it will take me a while to get good enough to ride either of those. |

"Yes, I like motorbikes and currently have a Triumph Sprint GT1050"
We have a few. Bought a Triumph Explorer 1200 2016 model 3 years ago to replace the 2009 Honda Pan European ST1300. So I took the Pan to get an MOT and realised how much I loved it, as had it from new, I just couldn't part with it. It's took us all round Europe several time and never missed a beat. Bikes are for keeping not selling |

We are thinking of selling one of our Triumph 1200 Bobbers (17 plate) and buying the Speed Master. Same bike but has a pillion seat so if Mrs F finds a girl friend she can take her out on the back |

"I am currently learning to ride (a motorbike)!
Just passed my theory test x"
Honda CB 125 or Honda XL125V Varadero, Yamaha YBZ125 would be my learner bikes of choice. Plenty secondhand and they hold resell value too. |

Doing the 125 restricted? Or Direct access?
CG125 for l plate riding..so forgiving of mistakes and 97mpg for lots of practice.
If restricted go to a 250 or one of the 33kw 300/350s..
First big bike I recommend an uprigrht trailie like..
Ktm duke single cyl 500
Yam Tenere 600 twin
I had a Honda Transalp v600.
I loved that bike. |

I wasn't aware Yamaha made a 600 twin Tenere?
There was the twin port singles 600/660 and the 750 twin and ofcourse the new 700 twin. |

I think I have around 12 hanging around ranging from a little Aprilia RS50, Cagiva 521, Sachs XTC125, BSA C15, Triumph Daytona 675, Ducati Monster M750, Suzuki GSX-R1100 WP, couple of scooters & a couple of Chinese 125s I've been given that are in various experimental stages
But my favouritestest is my newly imported 1980 Yamaha XT500. Always makes me smile like a lunatic (after I've got the fucker started!)
Do not even start on the cars. Forgot how many I had last week... |
