I used a quad lock. Never had issues with the vibration damaging the camera. Not sure if that problem was phone specific. It stayed mounted during quite a big crash last year and have used it for green laning. |

"Quadlock with the anti vibration attachment"
Totally agree on Quadlock they are not cheap especially if your phone can wireless charge and you get one of those
Had mine for a couple of years with an iPhone 8 on a Honda XL1000V Varedero and never had an issue
I was so impressed got the car mount as well so I did not need to piss about
Get the handlebar mount not the mirror |

Can't fit a handle bar mount no room bar.
Can't use a magnetic bag as the tank is under the fairing.
I have noticed can get a mount that will fit to the fairing support so might opt for that.
Or buy the OEM BMW mount. |

Don't know of BMW do similar then based on your comment, but on my Yamaha I have a Yamaha GPS mount that uses the 4 bolts securing the handle bars, so maybe find similar or aftermarket to fit and then some of the companies like quadlock with have mounts for them or even RAM mount might make adaptors |

Personally, the thought of mounting the phone on the bars did appeal to me, for satnav use.
But then I thought, is the phone better being mounted on the bike, or better in my jacket pocket just in case I’m not mounted on the bike!!!! |

Totally agree with you, it's an argument I have with a friend who uses calimoto, I'd rather use my TomTom and have my phone in my pocket for when it's needed. |

Hi, I use a RAM mount. It's been on for two years and I've not touched it.
I use a Twisty Ride phone case that connects to the RAM mount. I've fitted a USB port into the front console and keep the phone charged. PM me if you want to see some pictures of my set up.
I still need sort my gloves finger tips to use the phone. I'm going to try GloveTacts instead of buying new gloves.

I used the Givi phone holder, it clamps on, has a safety cord just in case and some sun shielding. I have a tiger 800 and it is clamped onto the screen holder so its higher up and more in your eyeline.
Works well for me. |
