A lot of people seem to buy the bikes and all the HD gear, but instead of actually learning how to maintain the bikes it comes down to money. Whilst I like money I admire and tend to be more appreciative of people who can maintain bikes or cars in fact people who can do things for themselves. |

True they are expensive, but I feel that they hold a little more value than most because of resale and I know a few that have seen Well over 100000odo.
Harley is an ace platform for custom work and modification, I cut my teeth tarting up sportsters. The after market is huge and is totally accessible for newer riders who want to learn. It is a shame about the price especially for things that come standard on most bikes these days (abs etc). |

BMW f650 is quite low straight from the factory, most bikes can easily be lowered, but if you like your little gs, why not try a bandit, easy to maintain, cheap on parts and pretty bulletproof engine wise.. |

The new kawasaki Z range are all quite low and 3 to choose from, 650, 900 or 1000. Ive got an old z750 and love it to bits!!! Cheap AF.
If you go the triumph route i'd go for the street triple rather than the speed at first, had a street triple until some cock decided to nick it, was a brilliant bike |

I think I'm an everything biker.
I commute most days in all weather.
I have an adventure and enduro bike and try and ride a lot of green lanes and the odd enduro day.
I have an old British bike and often ride it to bike nights (when they happen)
Toured all over Europe and done trip in South East Asia.
Enjoy going to Rallies, none this year though.
My favourite is racing though and have been racing for over 20 years and still love it. In fact I'm at Cadwell Park now.

I'm a cunt.
Wheelie away from every traffic light. Chase every biker I see to pull up and race. Promise myself I won't go fast but end up maxing the bike out on the motorway. Get my knee down at every opportunity.
Sit and wash and clean my bike to showroom standard. Bleed my brakes every other month. Warm up my tyres with a heater everyday for the commute to work. Think my tyres are going off after about 1000 miles.
Need to slow down but I can't. |

We go out in all weather but it’s always better when the sun is out.
Go to several bike nights at local pubs as well as rides out around North Wales and South York’s and over the peaks.
Current ride is a Suzuki B-King and still have a B12 in the garage, both streetfighters. |

Sports bike & tourer, but both fair weather unless I need to be somewhere.
Been through a lot of the standard race reps so now modifying a twenty year old favourite. Probably could have bought a nice S1000RR for what it’s costing me but that’s not really the point is it. It’ll be mine, made by me (mostly) & for me.
Increasingly having trouble getting Euro Breakdown cover for my twenty eight year old tourer though, Well cover that I don’t say “How much!!!” When I’m quoted anyway

Aging lunatic and scratch addict. R1, Husky supermoto and KR1-s plus some other old nails in the garage. I went to look for a sensible bike today and almost bought a street triple, basically a bmx with an engine. Guess I'll never change |

Ex racer, too many injuries.
Restorer and collector.
Parades only, do Goodwood FOS every year.
Still quick but take no risks now.
Garage full of bikes.

Professional rider, only time I don’t go out is if it’s snowing before I leave.
If you have, rukka, Daytona boots ( a pair of boots that have covered 300k plus, and still waterproof), gerbings, gear, plus heated grips and seat weather is not an issue
45k plus per year
R1200rt with 120k on it Fjr1300 back up bike with 105k
Stay safe guys

Lone wolf, occasionally enjoy a pack ride but more often than not just me and my adventure tourer out and about enjoying the sights and doing my own thing
Rain hail sleet and snow if I want to go out I will and the weather doesn’t put me off very often, if I’m in the mood to get out and clear my head then the bike comes out |

I started riding bikes on the road in 1961 then in the mid 60s I raced them for about 50 years and have now got myself a 1972 Triumph T100R Daytona. You could say I am a fair weather biker now.

Well the term ‘modern classic’ is open to personal interpretation but it’s an homologation 916. Still has the go to rival a modern sports bike in decent UK roads. I makes me smile though which is the main thing! |

Yeah that’s a modern classic alright , great bike .. I have a chance of buying a 748 at the moment , but it’s a 748 and I’m not quite sold on it . If it was a 916 then yeah no brainier , get it .. would very much fancy a 916 / 996 of the foggy rep triple point injection era .. but they are fetching good money .. If not one of those then a Cagiva mito is on the list believe it or not |

None of the above, too old and leathers to scruffy to be given a modern label |

That does sound fun ,,,what’s the range of 125s though a CG against an RS or even a Mito seems a disadvantage for example ? |

What kind of biker are you? Well after this year we are 'fed up' bikers. Both TT and Manx trips were cancelled. No rallies. Been chatting with some lovely people on fab we'd like to meet up with and make friends. Made contact with friends from the past from fab so can't wait to get reacquainted. So yes 'FED UP BIKERS' here. Covid eh, who'd have believed it. |

You can get a few hot laps in before she needs a breather. Depends on the track really, but also I'm not very nice to the bike. 125s on track should be ridden till they are nearly melting. I'm much more professional when I've taken the biker bikes round bit it's not as fun in my opinion |

Fair weather GSXR1000 rider here. Done the winter riding when I was younger and couldn’t afford both a car and bike.
As soon as I could afford both I vowed never to ride in bad weather again.
For me riding a bike is for fun and there’s no fun in getting cold and wet. |
