Ran out of fuel today

Went out on the Transalp, forgot I was already on reserve, 7 miles later, stopped. Managed to get rescued from a colleague at work.

Falkirk

Done it on my ZXR.

Done the obligatory swish of fuel in the tank observation and total misjudged the amount fuel AND still had it on reserve from the previous ride out.

Luckily I managed to push it to a petrol station.

Away with the fairies (Liverpool to you)

Haven’t done that since I was a teenager, as an old man now I guess I err on the side of caution.

And why is it, when you need to switch to reserve, you are always overtaking something?

IV done the same before

I had forgotten I had switched to reserve and ran out of fuel

Nothing like pushing a bike along a country road to remind you to double check next time
