Again those are crazy prices now for a decent one. |

Massimo Tamburini. Guy was a legend sadly he has passed away.
Him and Valero BIanchi and Gisepi MOrri (probably got the spelling wrong) and TAmburini who also set up BIMOTA.
I've got a book all about the development and building of the 916. Its a good read.
Foggy's input into the book are quite comical.
Another book that a good read is the Honda Motorcycle story.
Keep you occupied on lockdown lol |

Then had a few decades out, due to starting a family and not having time, when I wanted to get back into bikes, found out that dvla had wiped my motorcycle licence, so had to start again.....

"I feel kinda sorry for guys these days who don't cut their teeth on small capacity machines. Never learning the art of momentumism!"
I love the small capacity 2 smokers. Its the simplicity of them.
When my son eventually gets a bit bigger I will start introducing him into the mechanics of the bike.
At the moment all he cares about is it ready to go lol.
Another small capacity bike I always favored was the Kawasaki AR. It came in a 50 or 80 and if you had the 50 you only needed to buy the barrel and piston to up the capacity.
I'm sure there were loads more bikes that were the same.
First thing I did with the MT was remove the restrictor.
Even my dad agreed that being limited to 30mph was dangerous.
Used to be great fun trying to overtake JCB's. |

Yes I was the only steel frame bike. Damaged my front rim that day when I went into the back of somebody at the first corner
Didn't make any difference on the sand. Apart from the straight I had to push the bike over the berms as it was just a cluster f##k and everyman for themselves.
I would have done better on a CR125 as the 5 just kept spinning up.

"I forgot to mention the much loved ST1300 Pan European that I had"
My dad is ex police and he thoroughly embarrassed B when we first got together. He had an ST.
B asked my dad if he could keep up and turned out playing catch up to him for the few hours they were out.
Not all about power lol
