 | We attended the club for the first time on a COUPLES ONLY THURSDAY for the first time in about three years. They fall on the first Thursday of the month. For those who haven't been before OURPLACE4FUN is an extremely small venue on two levels, with a social area and a handful of well designed play areas within the space available. It's well run and well designed but is on the small side, but this does have the advantage of on the whole making it easier for people to talk to each other (Though for the first time we didn't, our fault though) The club actually tends to get busier later, or did at least last night, as we found out because as we were leaving it was suddenly heaving! Made us gutted we had ordered our cab and had to go (I also had a long day of work ahead of me today) We arrived at about 1020pm and the club soon had around twenty couples in the venue and it stayed around that number until just after midnight where the numbers abruptly increased with some truly lovely people arriving. Unfortunately for us earlier we kept sitting where no one could really talk to us and when we tried to sit in the more sociable area someone else swooped in and took those seats, so we sadly didn't really get a chance to talk to anyone, let alone play that night (Our preference is to meet people at the club and play later) but it was a great night with a really good mix of ages, faces, races and types by the end of the evening and there were certainly some people there we hope to catch another time. Gregg and the girls had gone all out for the Rocky Horror theme of the evening (Any excuse for Gregg to get in Drag) and it was a fun night, with free gaming shots being passed around a plenty. Still one of the best nights in London, hopefully we'll make better use of it on our next visit. It's also worth pointing out that this was a Couples Only evening and was not for single males. There was a great number of FFM trios and females there that night as well, making the atmosphere very relaxed. We also took note of the new door prices for the rest of the week for couples - On Tuesdays, BDSM Thursdays and Sundays couples now go in free as long as they spend £10 behind the bar on soft drinks (you a tenner on the bar and spent it or not, but you still have to spend £10) this is still extremely good value for money. Single guys on Sundays are now £5, which is also extremely cheap. (Normal prices apply the rest of the times) In times of recession its good to see Clubs being pro-active for their punters with such offers.
