 | We attended this club last Saturday. We drove across from Hull with a female friend as we had heard good things about the place. Upon arrival we were greeted by the bar staff who were absolutely lovely. We weren't so much by the owner though and instead was greeted with a passing comment instead of the usual welcome to the club, glad you could come kind of sketch. You know, what you kind of expect. However, we didn't think too much of it at the time and continued. We were then showed around the club after we got dressed down into our little sexy outfits. The bar area was lovely and intimate. With plenty of comfy seating, dance floor, swivel pole and pool table. All the wet and play rooms are downstairs and there is plenty to do down there. What we probably liked most about our night though was the bar staff and the other swingers that attended. They were all lovely, approachable and happy to chat us and made us feel welcome etc. Didnt feel clicky. The DJ was brilliant too. Played some very good music that we loved dancing to. We were enjoying ourselves so much we stayed until closing. Unfortunately though.... This is were the fun ended. Another passing comment was thrown my way(Mr) from the owner Bruce as I was asking people if they would like to come back to our apartment for drinks and more dancing but this time I bit back. Which he obviously wasn't used to and he lost his head totally! That much so he really embarrassed himself. I was told to leave which I ofcourse did with a few choice words as I left. Which was just imo and then I had Bruce go out of his way, out of the smoking area(back entrance) to square up to me round at the front entrance. Shouting in my face for me to hit him etc etc. Which I obviously didnt do. The guy is about 4ft and old enough to be my dad for start. He had to be dragged in by who I think was his wife/partner who is lovely btw. She had a fed up look ob her face which I can best describe to be like 'ffs Bruce you're making a fool of yourself again'.
We have since had people message us saying it's not the first time Bruce has kicked off and it seems like it's more towards men. As even I overheard him in conversation the other night saying he always looks after women in his club. They are his priority. He should be looking after all of his attendees in my opinion. No matter what gender they are.
So our conclusion is. Cupids is very good club, with great facilities and lovely/attractive people. (We are gutted we wont be going back to be honest. As we would love to meet people we met again) But spoiled by the owner Bruce. Who has some underlying personal issues which are obviously heightened when he's drunk. So if you go just stay out of his way or unless you are the type of person that will let things slide easily. You will enjoy your night just like we did. Just dont piss little Bruce off. He might fill you in haha.
Ohh and forgot to say. It was pretty busy too, with plenty of hot people. We are glad we attended. It wasn't a wasted journey and end didn't spoil our night. Hence the rating we have given this club. We couldn't give it a bad rating because of one incident.
