| We visited the club on Saturday 22nd of September 2007 on a couple’s only night. (Friday allows a small number single guys)We had been meaning to visit Liberty Elite ever since we saw it on the television series on channel 4 (Then operating under the name ‘Liberations’ with different owners, so for those who don’t know, the saxophone is no more..)We don’t know how much the club has changed since then, but this is how we found it on our visit. The club is located fairly centrally in the UK, within easy reach of Leicester, Rugby and Birmingham and as we know, the Midlands is well catered for by several clubs so we were keen to see what Liberty would have to offer. We decided, due to work and driving we would make use of the onsite hotel facilities where rooms can be booked for either £45 or £55, very handy if your travelling and want to rest up before entering the club or sleep in late the next day (Or alternatively not sleep at all) Questions asked beforehand were answered by phone or email promptly and the owners were most helpful. Rooms are normally available around 4pm with the club opening at 830pm, though the owner kindly made ours available from 2pm which was very much appreciated. The club was easy to find, and the directions on the site and images are all very accurate. Our room was clean, with fresh towels and toiletries provided, as well as TV and video, plus some complimentary juice, tea, coffee, cereals and toast, which we only noticed at the last moment on the shelf. There is hot water in all the rooms from the point you arrive until the point you leave. The club itself Liberty looks like a large house from the outside, however once inside it takes on something of a Tardis like quality and has been converted completely into a purpose built club. The first thing that hits you is how clean the place is. Hands down, this club was the cleanest we have ever been to - from the toilets, to the bar, to the beds, there was not one speck of dust or dirt anywhere to be seen, we kid you not. Upon arrival you’re booked in by Gina, where you can, as a couple either pay a one off £40 entrance fee – or join for the year, for £50 and then you pay £25 every other time you visit. This gives you the option of trying the place out and seeing if it’s your cup of tea before becoming a member. Gina was a perfect host, friendly and helpful, with a killer dress, which didn’t go unnoticed by either of us! Colin, her co host then gave us the tour. Upon entering you’re greeted by the main bar and social area, it’s pretty impressive and ideal for chilling and chatting. The bar is well stocked but the drinks are not cheap, but no more than you would pay at a London bar. Off to the right is a dance area (With obligatory poles) and a fetish/dungeon area for those who like slings, crosses and other entertaining devices. It was not a fetish night so this area, impressive though it was, didn’t get much use while we were there. (Well, we tried out the sling, but anyway…) round the other side of the bar are stairs to four playrooms on the first floor (One with a love swing, three with beds) and a toilet and shower. Continue past the bar and more sofas downstairs and you come through to the changing areas with lockers, ladies and gents toilets (Probably the cleanest toilets in England!) and a corridor which leads onto the wet area. The next section is probably the most impressive of the club, a large open play room with comfortable beds and sofas, an extra open shower and steps leading to the 25 man, warm, Jacuzzi (we have heard it can manage more) Spare towels were also located around the room, though two are also in each locker. This is where most of the play takes place in the club and it is ideal for those who like to be watched or just watch. The atmosphere in this area was always very relaxed at all times. Lastly there is also an area out the back with seating for smokers. At 10.30pm in the bar there is a free buffet of sandwiches, kebabs and other snacks, enough to keep you going if you’re feeling peckish. Colin was an excellent tour guide and regularly checked up on us to see if we were okay. It seemed we weren’t the only new people there that night, as 14 other new couples were in attendance and we spoke to some of them, who were very impressed with place. So how was our night? Pretty good – It is fair to say that at Liberty Elite a couples night, really is that ‘Couples only’ no exceptions. There were no ‘Exceptions to the rules’ here. Also some couples like to separate when they go to a club, which is of course their choice, but that was rare here, couples always seem to play together, with other couples and this made for a very relaxed atmosphere and made no one feel under any kind of pressure but it also meant that there were not guys wandering around away from their partners making nuisances of themselves, which happens so often elsewhere. Perhaps what impressed the most was the way this was dealt with on the singular occasion when it did happen that night with a male, who at one point was intruding where they were not wanted. They were swiftly and discreetly taken to one side and the matter was dealt with, politely but firmly. Otherwise we saw nothing but couples playing with each other or by themselves and having a good time, this makes the club ideal for newcomers, as does the layout of the club - it is very much divided into the distinct areas we have mentioned making it easy to relax. As the night wore on more people would tend to just dress in towels, so those who like that style of environment would find themselves at home here once the clock ticks past the witching hour but upon arrival couples made an effort to dress up and sexy lingerie and cocktail dresses were in abundance. Another good feature were the option of wearing gold wristbands for ladies who were either bi or bi curious, a great way of subtly showing ones preferences.Every other weekend at the club they have a disco, but we visited on the weekend where the music was just played on the system, so there wasn’t really much dancing to speak of, for us, the only disappointment but we will visit on a disco night next time. Of course not everyone wants to dance. However there are plans afoot to change the layout of the dance area next year though it certainly presents no problems in its present form. On our visit there were around 40 couples in attendance, mostly aged between 35 – 45, but some were younger and some were older. A common comment with any club can be there will be cliques. If your not confident and find it hard to talk to new people, even people that are regulars to a club can find it equally difficult to approach people they do not know. All we can say is all the people we spoke chatted back to us, one couple even bought us a drink and another A and M made it rather special later on, but you can never depend other people to make the first move. It probably just needs to be remembered that chatting with someone to make them feel at ease shouldn’t be taken as some kind of green light to play, that way both parties would feel under no pressure and confidence will be increased all round to chat to more people. The club shuts at 3am, but we didn’t actually leave until about 3.30am so you weren’t forced out on the dot.We would strongly recommend the club for first timers, couples who like to play as couples, those who don’t like pressure and those who like to dress up. Saturday nights here are for you. A lot of thought and effort has gone into this club, from the décor, to the furnishings and lighting (which was just right) and the pictures do not do it justice, we will definitely come back. We would like to see a lifetime membership fee introduced as well as the yearly one, not a criticism - merely a suggestion. First rate, 5 out of 5.
