Obviously, the man has a credibility problem and I have criticised him in the past - frequently.

However, he's said the following:

"We're going to make sure that we have plans to help people whose old jobs are not there any more to get the opportunities they need."

"We are absolutely not going back to the austerity of 10 years ago."

He's going to continue following a left-wing, socialist agenda because he knows that the traditional Tory approach is not going to get the UK economy back on its feet, nor help the millions of its people who are in need.

It's a shame it's taken a pandemic that's claimed tens of thousands of lives for him to see that the Tory way is the wrong way; but it's good that he has.

Obviously, the main reason he can't return to austerity is that he'd have to fuck over the people he didn't fuck over the first time round - Tory voters. Many of whom, due to Covid 19, have become as vulnerable as all the people who had their services slashed last time.

Anyway, I wish him well in part two of his "wearing Labour's clothes" experiment; as I'm sure all his regular supporters will, too.

I really hope he means it. I actually want him to get it right on this.

You have more faith than me.

They have already tested the water with further public sector pay freezes (for the people who actually kept this country afloat)and there is all sorts of corrupt stuff gone on behind the scenes (s'funny I thought it was just the eu who did that)

And let's see if we get a proper investment into this shitshow.

I hope delivery follows the rhetoric here.

Fingers crossed it will not be on projects that will actually add long-term value to the economy rather than tax discounts to property developer chums or white elephant bridges to Ireland or Garden bridges or Estuary airports.

I guess we'll see.

This won’t go down well with the rabid ‘right wing ‘ tories on here . I also hope he sticks to this promise but he does have a track record for lying and I still believe he will be gone in less than 2 years

........ I think you will find that a lot of people who were supportive of Jeremy Corbyn still are ,A better example of "The Peter Story" in modern day British politics would be to look at the way our former Prime Minister and regular Church attendee and Christian , Theresa May was treat by those now leading her Conservative Party

I don't really care what they think. Although it's pitifully predictable that they've gone all FDR, rather than admit that what Atlee's government achieved, post WWII (when all those brave soldiers gave a massive "Fuck You!" to Winston Churchill), is the foundation of the modern British state.

Maybe they can't acknowledege it because they've realised that the past 40 years they've spent doing their best to destroy it, wasn't the ideal thing to do after all - and that more of that 1945 agenda is the only thing that's going to keep them in power.

Anyway, hopefully, they'll do the right thing. For a change.
